What
makes Little Learner's Academy Unique
Educational,
Music Based Curriculum:
Our motto is that school should be a place "Where Children Learn
to Love to Learn." Music makes learning fun, active, and memorable.
You'll soon notice your child singing their favorites!
Student to
Teacher Ratio:
10 years ago, Miss Launa began as one teacher with 8 little students.
Today, Little Learners preschool ratios are exactly the same... 1 teacher
for every 8 learners.
Reading:
We read with
your child during EVERY class. Books follow the weekly class theme, or
students can choose a book to be read as a reward. We incorporate books
which reinforce the letters/words your child are currently learning. We
also partner with several booksellers and you can purchase books for your
child directly through the school.

Loving Environment:
You can be assured that at Little Learners your child will be cared for
and loved. Miss Launa has over 20 years' experience of
taking care and teaching young children. Little Learners' philosophy is
that a child who feels loved will succeed.
Social Skills:
FRIENDS! This is one of the things your child will get at Little
Learners. It is so important in today's world to learn the basic skills
of sharing, caring, cooperating,
communicating, and expressing their individuality.
Friendly hands, taking turns, following
directions, and sharing time is always part
of every preschool day!

Physical Activity:
Ready... set... GO! Children love to PLAY!! They learn best when they
are active and excited. That's why we are always moving, and have a day
packed with fun activity. Whether it's marching to the flag song or playing
the musical alphabet, the fun just never ends at Little Learners.
Party Days:
We have a lot of these at Preschool. (We LOVE to have fun!)
On party days parents are welcome to join the fun!! We always have our
party the last half of our class time and regular schedule the first half,
so come have fun with us the last hour of preschool any party day you
can.
Open door
policy:
At Little Learners we have an open door policy this means that our parents
are welcome to join us for class whenever you would like. We only ask
that you be mindful if it is a distraction for your student. Also parents
are ALWAYS welcome to call Miss Launa anytime
you have a question.
Programs:
We present a singing program for our parents twice a year, a Christmas
Program and our Spring Program. These are wonderful and so fun. It is
our way of sharing some of the fun things and songs we learn at school
with our parents. Grandparents and special people are also welcome to
come see our performances. These are held in the evening in December and
June.
Scrapbooks:
We will take your child’s picture on the first day of class. This
picture will hang on our “Meet the friends” wall. At the end
of the school year that picture go on the cover of a scrapbook they will
receive with pictures of the activities of our preschool year. These are
so neat for memories and our past parents and students have loved their
“preschool scrapbook”.
Year-in-Review
CD-ROM:
Along with a personal scrapbook, each student receives a CD-ROM (plays
on a computer) with their class video that plays during the Spring Performance
at the end of the school year. |
